GD-2A NATURAL GAS DETECTOR
• Detects Heating Gases: Propane (LP), Natural (Methane)
• Easy Operation: A green LED signifies that the GD-2A is armed. If gas is detected, the red LED flashes and the alarm condition is activated.
• Quick Installation: Three part plastic case allows for easy surface mount installation or near flush mount over a four-inch square or double gang electrical box.
• Maintenance Free: The GD-2A uses a self-purging semi-conductor electronic sensor which requires no maintenance or recalibration.
• Self-Restoring or Latching Functionality: Allows installer to choose whether GD-2A will switch back to normal state after air clears of gas, or stay in alarm until power is interrupted.
• SPDT Alarm and SPST Trouble Relays: Designed for seamless connection to control panels or other devices.
• Temperature Compensated: For accuracy over the entire operating range.
• Time-Honored Quality: Backed by Macurco's reliable brand quality and 3M's history of customer dedication and satisfaction.
• Listed to UL Standard 2075 for the standard for safety for gas and vapor detector and sensors.
• Sensitivity Tested based on UL 1484 Standard for Residential Gas Detectors.
Power Information
• Operates on DC or AC voltages between 12 and 24 volts.
• Utilizes a full wave bridge rectifier at its power input so that it is independent of the polarity of the input power.
• Switching regulator is used to efficiently match the wide input voltage range to the fixed, internal power system.
Visual Display
• Green LED light blinks on and off during the warm up period.
• Continuous green light (ARMED) indicates normal operation.
• Both lights flash on and off when a trouble condition occurs.
• Red LED (ALARM) turns on at the same time the SPDT alarm relay activates to indicate the alarm condition.
Advanced Relay Features
• Self-restoring operation turns off red light when air clears of gas, switching to normal state.
• Jumper wire on circuit board can be clipped to allow unit to latch in upon alarm. Power will then need to be interrupted to unlatch alarm condition.
